About Tolperisone

Muscle Relaxant

Uses

Muscle spasm associated with locomotor diseases, neurological disorders, rehabilitation, peripheral vascular disorders.

How to take it

Tab: Adults: 150-450 mg 3 times daily. Children: 3 mth-6 yr, 5-10 mg/kg/day divided into 3 doses (1-3 tab daily); 6-14 yr, 4-2 mg/kg/day divided into 3 doses.

Side effects

Muscular weakness, somnolence (rarely) in paediatrics.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy: Contraindicated in pregnancy. Contraindications: Myasthaenia gravis.

Advice

Take with meals.
