What it is used for

Infections of respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, biliary tract caused by sensitive organisms.

Dosage

Adults: 200-400 mg in two divided doses. Children: 6-12 mg/kg/day in two divided doses. Lower Respiratory Infection: Adults & Children: >12 yr or >50 kg: 400 mg once daily or 200 mg every 12 hr. <50 kg or >6 mth: 8 mg/kg once daily or 4 mg/kg every 12 hr. Otitis Media: Adults & Children: >12 yr or >50 kg: 400 mg once daily or 200 mg every 12 hr. <50 kg or >6 mth: 8 mg/kg once daily or 4 mg/kg every 12 hr.
