About Aceclofenac, Inj/Oral
Anti-rheumatic, Systemic
Uses
Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis.
How to take it
Tab: Adults: 100 mg morning and evening. Children: Not recommended. Inj: 150 mg once or twice daily for five days.
Side effects
GI upset, dizziness, increased hepatic enzymes, pruritus.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy: Contraindicated in pregnancy. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Contraindications: Peptic ulceration, GI bleeding, moderate to severe renal or hepatic impairment, severe cardiac, aspirin/anti-inflammatory induced allergy, bleeding disorders, ischaemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, CHF, varicella. Precautions: GI disease. Renal, hepatic or cardiac impairment, asthma, hypertension, CHF, cardiovascular risk factors, haematological abnormalities, SLE and mixed connective tissue disorders, porphyria, recent major surgery. Lithium, digoxin, diuretics, other NSAIDS, corticosteroids, cyclosporin, quinolone antibiotics, antidiabetics, methotrexate, SSRIs, antiplatelets, antihypertensives, mifepristone, tacrolimus, zidovudine, hypoglycaemic agents.
