Uses

Symptomatic short treatment of moderate to severe acute pain.

How to take it

Adults: 1 tab daily. Dose can be increased, as required with a min dosing interval of 8 hrs. Max: 3 tabs daily. Do not take for more than 5 days. Elderly: Initial: 1 tab daily. Max: 2 tab daily. Children: Not recommended.

Side effects

Somnolence, abdominal pain, constipation, dry mouth, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, hyperhidrosis, fatigue.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy: Contraindicated in pregnancy. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Contraindications: Severe hepatic impairment. Moderate to severe renal impairment. Active peptic ulcer/GI hemorrhage, history of GI bleeding ulceration or perforation related to previous NSAIDs therapy. Chronic dyspepsia. Other active bleedings or bleeding disorders. Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. Severe heart failure. Haemorrhagic diathesis and other coagulation disorders. Severe dehydration. Epilepsy not adequately controlled by treatment. Severe respiratory depression. Precautions: Mild to moderate hepatic impairment. Mild renal impairment. Uncontrolled hypertension. Mild to moderate CHF.…

Advice

Take with a sufficient amount of fluid (e.g. 1 glass of water). Swallow whole tab. Do not crush or chew. Tab may be taken at least 30 mins before meals. Do not drive, operate machinery or perform tasks that require mental alertness due to risk of dizziness and drowsiness during treatment. Avoid alcohol during treatment.

Warfarin, other coumarins, heparins. Other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, lithium, methotrexate, hydantoines (including phenytoin and sulphonamides. Diuretics, ACE inhibitors, antibacterial aminoglycosides, angiotensin II receptor antagonists. Pentoxyfilline. Zidovudine. Sulfonylureas. Beta-blockers. Cyclosporin and tacrolimus. SSRIs. Probenecid. Cardiac glycosides. Thrombolytics, anti-platelet agents. Mifepristone. Quinolone antibiotics. Tenofovir. Deferasirox. Pemetrexed. MAOIs.
