About Thiocolchicoside
Muscle Relaxant
Uses
Acute and chronic low back and sciatic pain, cervicobrachial neuralgia, refractory torticollis, post-traumatic and post-operative painful syndromes. Spastic sequela of hemiparesis, Parkinson's disease and Parkinsonism caused by drugs, with special reference to the neurodysleptic syndrome.
How to take it
ORAL: Adults: Two cap after the main meals. Children: Not recommended. INJECTION: Adults: Two amp by IM inj over a period of 24 hr. Children: Not recommended.
Side effects
Diarrhoea.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy: Risk cannot be ruled out. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Contraindications: Flaccid paralysis, muscular hypotonia. Precautions: If oral administration causes diarrhoea, posology must be properly reduced.
