Uses

For the control of intraocular pressure in chronic open angle glaucoma & ocular hypertension.

How to take it

Adults: Usual: (0.5%) drops once daily. (0.25%) drops twice daily. Severe/Uncontrolled: (0.5%) 1-2 drops twice daily. Children: Not recommended.

Side effects

Irritation, headache, dizziness, systemic beta- blocking effects, blepharitis, conjunctivitis.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy: Contraindicated in pregnancy. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Contraindications: Severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchospasm, including bronchial asthma, cardiogenic shock, 2nd or 3rd degree AV block, sinus bradycardia, sick sinus syndrome, sino-atrial block, uncontrolled congestive heart failure. Hypersensitivity to any of the contents. Precautions: As with other topically applied ophthalmic drugs, may be absorbed systemically. Hyperthyroidism, Prinzmetal's angina, depression, respiratory impairment, cerebral or coronary insufficiency, severe circulatory disorders, hypotension, metabolic acidosis, untreated phaeochromocytoma.
