Gynaecological Anti-infective

Uses

Bacterial vaginosis.

How to take it

Cream: Adults: 1 applicatorful intravaginally at night for 7 days. Children: Not recommended. Ovule: Adults: Insert one ovule daily at night for 3 days. Children: Not recommended.

Side effects

Diarrhoea or colitis (discontinue immediately). Cervicitis, vaginal candidiasis, vulvovaginitis, abdominal cramps, pruritus.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy: No evidence of risk in humans. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Contraindications: History of pseudomembranous colitis. Hepatic impairment. Lincomycin sensitivity. IBS or antibiotic-associated colitis. Precautions: Barrier contraceptives may be less effective.

Advice

Before application, wash hands. Insert full applicator gently into vagina at bedtime and eject cream. After application, wash applicator with soap and water. Continue lying down for 30 min after administration. Contact prescriber if there is worsening of condition or nausea, abdominal cramps, dizziness or headache occurs or if condition remains same. Do not have intercourse for 7 days during therapy.

Neuromuscular blocking agents, erythromycin, vit K antagonists.
