About Emedastine

Non-specific Anti-conjunctivitis Preps

Uses

Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.

How to take it

Adults: 1 drop instilled into affected eye(s) twice daily. Children: Under 3 yr, not recommended. Over 3 yr, same as adult.

Side effects

Transient irritation, blurred vision, oedema, headache, rhinitis, pain.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Contraindications: Renal or hepatic impairment. Elderly, Pregnancy, lactation. Precautions: Ocular corneal infiltrates; discontinue immediately. Do not insert contact lenses until 10-15 min after instillation.
