Uses
Fungal skin infections.
How to take it
Adults & Children: Apply two or three times daily; continue two wk after cure.
Side effects
Local mild burning or irritation.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy: Contraindicated in pregnancy. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Contraindications: Barrier contraceptives.
Advice
Dry feet thoroughly, especially between the toes, after bathing. Wash hands before and after applying medication. Do not wear socks made from wool or synthetic materials (e.g., rayon or nylon). Instead, wear clean, cotton socks and change them daily or more often if your feet sweat a lot. Wear sandals or well-ventilated shoes. Use a bland, absorbent powder (e.g., talcum powder) or an antifungal powder (e.g., tolnaftate) between the toes, on the feet, and in socks and shoes one or two times a day.
