About Calcipotriol

Antipsoriasis

Uses

Mild to moderate plaque psoriasis.

How to take it

Adults: Apply twice daily; max 100 gm per wk. Children: Not recommended.

Side effects

Transient irritation. Dermatitis, pruritus, aggravation of psoriasis, photosensitivity.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy: Positive evidence of risk: Use only when no safer alternative exists for a serious problem. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Contraindications: Disorders of calcium metabolism. Precautions: Avoid application on face.
