Anti-acne Preps

Uses

Mild to moderate acne vulgaris.

How to take it

Adults: Apply sparingly once or twice daily for minimum 6-8 wk. Children: Not recommended.

Side effects

Local irritation.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy: Contraindicated in pregnancy. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Contraindications: History or family history of cutaneous epithelioma. Precautions: Avoid eyes, mouth, mucous membrane, abraded or sunburnt skin. Avoid UV light.

Advice

Wash and dry the skin before applying. Apply a thin film to cover affected areas and rub gently. Wash hands thoroughly after applying, unless hands are the area being treated. Do not apply to peeled, sunburnt or sore skin, allow skin to recover before starting this medication. Avoid medication contact with eyes, nose and mouth. Do not let it build up in the folds or creases of your skin.
