About Flunisolide

Nasal Preparations

Uses

Perennial or allergic rhinitis including hay fever.

How to take it

Adults: Initially 2 sprays in each nostril two or, if severe, max three times daily, reducing to minimum effective dose. Therapy should be continuous. Children: Under 5 yr, not recommended; 5-12 yr, 1 spray in each nostril three times daily.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Contraindications: Untreated nasal or ocular infections. Precautions: Caution when transferring patients from systemic steroids. Pregnancy. Recent nasal ulcers, trauma or surgery.
