About Alverine Citrate

Antispasmodic & Anticholinergic

Uses

Primary dysmenorrhoea. Adjunct in gastro-intestinal disorders characterised by smooth muscle spasm.

How to take it

Adults: 60-120 mg upto 3 times daily. Children: Adjunct in gastro-intestinal disorders characterized by smooth muscle spasm, dysmenorrhoea: 12-18 yr, 60-120 mg 1-3 times daily.

Side effects

Nausea, headache, itching, allergic reactions, dizziness.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy: Contraindicated in pregnancy. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Contraindications: Paralytic ileus, intestinal obstruction, faecal impaction, pregnancy, Lactation.
