Uses

Non-infected inflammatory ocular conditions.

How to take it

DROP: Adults & Children: Over 2 yr: 1 or 2 drops 2-4 times daily. During first 24-48 hrs, apply every 1 hr. OINT: Adults & Children: 0.5 cm oint two or three times daily and/or at night.

Side effects

Corneal thinning, cataract, rise in intra-ocular pressure; fungal infection.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy: Risk cannot be ruled out. Contraindications: Viral, fungal, tuberculous or purulent infections. Soft contact lenses. Precautions: Risk of visual disturbances. Prolonged use. Glaucoma. Undiagnosed red eye.

Advice

Remove contact lenses and wash hands properly before use. Sit or lie down to instill. Open eye, tilt head back, look at ceiling, instill solution into the eye. Do not blink for 30 seconds. For ointment, pull lower lid down slowly, instill thin layer of ointment inside lid. After applying drops or ointment, close eye and roll eyeball in all directions. Apply gentle pressure to inner corner of eye. Wipe excess amount from skin around eye. Blurred vision or stinging may occur but its temporary. In case of allergic reaction or rash, discontinue medication and inform prescriber immediately. Report constant burning, pain; changes in vision; itching, swelling in eyes, no improvement or worsening…
