About Buclizine
Antiemetic & Gastroprokinetic
Uses
Prevention and treatment of motion sickness. Symptomatic treatment of vertigo.
How to take it
Adults: Motion sickness: Prophylaxis: 50 mg 30 min prior to travelling; may repeat 50 mg after 4-6 hr. Vertigo: 50 mg twice daily, up to 150 mg/day. Children: Not recommended.
Side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, incoordination, blurred vision, urinary retention, vomiting, rash, dry mouth, headache, nausea, epigastric pain, weight gain and diarrhoea.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy: Risk cannot be ruled out. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Precautions: Caution should be exercised in patients with history of increased eye pressure, urinary retention, prostate enlargement, stomach obstruction, epilepsy, kidney or liver impairment.
