Urinary Incontinence Products · Beta-3 agonist
Indications
Overactive bladder with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency and urinary frequency with or without benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Dosage
Adults: 1 tab of 75 mg once daily. Children: Not recommended.
Adverse Effects
Headache, UTI, nasopharyngitis, diarrhoea, nausea, upper RTI.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Pregnancy: No evidence of risk in humans. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Contraindications: End-stage renal disease with or without haemodialysis. Severe hepatic impairment. Precautions: Monitor for urinary retention esp in patients with bladder outlet obstruction or those taking muscarinic antagonist medications for OAB.
Interactions
Digoxin.
Advice to Patient
Swallow whole tab with water. Tab may be crushed and mixed with applesauce. Report immediately if angioedema associated with upper airway swelling occurs.

Metabolism: Hepatic. Half-life elimination: 30.8 hrs. Time to peak, plasma: 1-3 hrs. Excretion: Faeces (approx. 59%). Urine (20%).
