Indications

Prophylactic treatment of episodes of angina pectoris; adjunct symptomatic treatment of vertigo and tinnitus; adjunct treatment of visual disorders of a circulatory origin.

Dosage

Adults: 20 mg or 3 mL (60 drops) 3 times daily, with meals or 35 mg 2 times daily, with meals. Children: Not recommended.

Adverse Effects

Nausea, vomiting.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Pregnancy: Risk cannot be ruled out. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Precautions: Renal failure, severe hepatic failure. Not recommended for acute angina attacks, not for initial treatment of unstable angina or MI.

Advice to Patient

Take with meals. Do not chew or crush tablets, swallow whole with a glass of water. Keep all doctors and lab appointments.

Absorption: Rapid. Half-life elimination: IR (Immediate-release formulation): 6 hrs. MR (Modified-release formulation): Young patients: Approx. 8 hrs. Elderly: Approx. 12 hrs. Time to peak, plasma: IR: 1.8 hrs. Excretion: Urine.
