TRIAMCINOLONE: Absorption: Absorbed from normal intact skin. Inflammation and/or other disease processes in the skin increase percutaneous absorption. Metabolism: Skin (primarily). The small amount that reaches systemic circulation is metabolized hepatically. Half-life elimination: 18-36 hrs. Excretion: Urine (40%). Faeces (60%). ECONAZOLE: Absorption: Not significant. Metabolism: Hepatic. Excretion: Urine and faeces (<1%). GENTAMICIN: Absorption: Readily absorbed from large burnt, denuded or granulating areas but not through intact skin. Faster and greater absorption with the cream compared to the ointment. Metabolism: Not metabolized. Half-life elimination: Adults: 2-3 hrs. Severe renal impairment: 24-60 hrs. Excretion: Urine.
