Hypoglycaemic excluding Insulin · Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor

Indications

Used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Dosage

Adults: 100 mg once a week. Children: Not recommended.

Adverse Effects

Hypoglycaemia (when used in combination with sulfonylureas or insulin preparations).

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Pregnancy: Risk cannot be ruled out. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Contraindications: Moderate to severe renal impairment. End-stage renal failure on dialysis.

Advice to Patient

Do not break or crush the tablet.
