Indications

Induction and maintenance of general anaesthesia in paediatric and adult patients.

Dosage

Using a specifically calibrated vaporiser, induction, up to 5% in oxygen or nitrous oxide- oxygen. Children: Up to 7%. Maintenance, 0.5%-3%. See literature.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Pregnancy: Risk cannot be ruled out. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined.

Pharmacokinetics

Absorption: Rapidly absorbed on inhalation. Metabolism: Hepatic (5%). Half-life elimination: 15-23 hrs. Excretion: Urine (mainly).
