Sertaconazole Nitrate

Antifungal, Topical · Imidazole antifungal

Indications

Fungal and Gram positive bacterial infections of the skin and nails.

Dosage

Adults & Children: Skin: Apply once or twice daily until 10 days after lesions have healed. Nails: Apply thinly once daily covering with non-perforated bandage until new nail growth is established.

Advice to Patient

Keep affected area dry. After taking shower or bath, apply drying or dusting powder. Wash hands before and after application. Apply cream to cover affected areas between toes and surrounding skin. Do not cover with occlusive dressing unless advised by prescriber. Complete full course of treatment. Contact prescriber if there is no improvement, worsening of condition or irritation, burning, stinging, redness, itching, blistering, swelling or oozing. Change socks regularly. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth and other mucous membranes. If cream comes into contact with the eyes, wash with large amount of cold water.
