Salbutamol and Guaifenesin

Indications

Conditions where bronchospasm and the excessive secretion of tenacious mucus are complicating factors, e.g. in asthma, bronchitis and other pulmonary disorders.

Dosage

Adults: 2-4 tsp 2 or 3 times daily. Children: 2-6 yr, 1-2 tsp 2 or 3 times daily; 6-12 yr, 2 tsp 2 or 3 times daily; over 12 yr, adult dose.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Precautions: Thyrotoxicosis. First trimester of pregnancy.
