Indications
Gastritis, peptic ulcer.
Dosage
ORAL: Adults: 100 mg daily in three divided doses. Children: Not recommended.
Adverse Effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, eructation; ALT, AST and BUN elevation, oedema, hyperbilirubinaemia; gynaecomastia, induction of lactation, menstrual disorders, hot flushes; leukopaenia, leukocytosis, thrombocytopaenia; rash, urticaria, eczema.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Pregnancy: Risk cannot be ruled out. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Precautions: Elderly.
Interactions
Celecoxib, diclofenac.
Advice to Patient
Take with or without meals. Contact prescriber if there is difficulty in breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, skin rashes, hives, unusual swelling.

Absorption: 2 hrs. Half-life elimination: Approx. 1.5 hr. Excretion: Urine.
