Indications
Treatment of neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Dosage
Adults & Children: 0.5 mg (0.05 mL) by intravitreous inj. Initial loading dose: 1 Inj per mth for 3 consecutive mth. See literature.
Adverse Effects
Very common: Conjunctival haemorrhage, eye pain, vitreous floaters, retinal haemorrhage, increased intraocular pressure, vitreous detachment, intraocular inflammation, eye irritation, cataract, foreign body sensation in eyes, visual disturbance, blepharitis, subretinal fibrosis, ocular hyperaemia, blurred/decreased visual activity, dry eye, veritis. Common: Ocular discomfort, conjunctival hyperaemia, posterior capsule opacification, retinal exudates, injection site reactions, increased lacrimation, eye pruritus, conjunctivitis, maculopathy, detachment of the retinal pigment epithelium, headache. Uncommon: Retinal degeneration, iritis, iridocyclitis, punctuate keratitis, keratopathy, delien, corneal striae, retinal disorder, vitreous disorder, photophobia, cataract nuclear, anterior chamber flare, corneal abrasion, angle-closure glaucoma, vitreous haemorrhage, uveitis, endophthalmitis,…
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Contraindications: Active or suspected ocular/periocular infections, active intra-ocular inflammation. Precautions: Observe proper aseptic technique. Monitor & manage intra-ocular pressure & optic nerve head perfusion. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation.
