Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Contraindications: Scheduled radio-iodine therapy. Thyroid disorders. Very low birth weight infants (<1500gm). Deep wounds, clean surgical wounds. Precautions: Avoid regular use in neonates. Infants upto 6 months of age, severe and extensive burns, renal impairment. Avoid eyes and nose.

Interactions

Lithium.

Advice to Patient

For external use only. Clean the affected skin. Cover the affected area with clean dressing or leave it uncovered. If a dose is missed, apply it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not apply double dose. Contact prescriber immediately if there is severe rash, hives, difficulty in breathing, or dizziness. Avoid medication contact with eyes, ears, nose and mouth. Do not apply over large areas of the body. Do not apply for more than 1 week unless recommended by the prescriber.
