Indications

Blood loss, plasma loss, dehydration, hypovolaemic shock, volume losses during and after surgery, extracorporeal circulation, haemodialysis, dehydration states, for use in heart- lung-machines, for perfusion of isolated organs, plasma exchange, intraoperative hemodilution. Carrier for low dose insulin infusion.

Dosage

As per doctor's advice, 500 mL to be infused in one hr. In emergency cases where immediate volume replacement is needed, Haemaccel can be infused rapidly. See literature.

Adverse Effects

Wheals, transitory urticaria, skin reactions, temporary hypotension, raised temperature &/or shivering may occur. See literature.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Contraindications: In presence of relative contra-indications (e.g. cardiac insufficiency, fixed hypertension, cardiogenic shock) infusion should be performed under proper supervision.
