Indications

Prophylaxis of poliomyelitis. The vaccination is possible in women.

Dosage

SC or IM inj. It is recommended to inject vaccine as soon as 2 mth old. Primary immunization: 3 injection of 0.5 mL one mth apart. Booster: One yr after the last injection, then every 10 yr.

Adverse Effects

Erythematous reaction at the injection site, moderate fever.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Contraindications: Acute febrile disease, allergy to streptomycin.
