Pertuzumab
Cytostatic · Monoclonal antibody
Indications
In combination with trastuzumab and docetaxel for the treatment of patients with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer.
Dosage
The initial dose is 840 mg administered as a 60 min IV infusion, followed every 3 weeks thereafter by 420 mg administered as a 30 to 60 min IV infusion.
Administration
For IV infusion only. Do not administer as an IV push or bolus.
Adverse Effects
The most common adverse reactions (> 30%) with Perjeta in combination with trastuzumab and docetaxel were diarrhoea, alopecia, neutropenia, nausea, fatigue, rash, and peripheral neuropathy.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Pregnancy: Positive evidence of risk: Use only when no safer alternative exists for a serious problem. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Precautions: Embryo-fetal toxicity, left ventricular dysfunction, infusion associated reactions, hypersensitivity reactions, HER2 testing.
