Indications

Prevention of high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN 2/3) and cervical cancer casually related to HPV types 16 and 18 in females aged 10-25 years.

Dosage

Adults: 0.5 mL by IM inj at 0, 1 and 6 mth. Children: Under 10 yr, not recommended; over 10 yr, as for adults.

Adverse Effects

Pyrexia, inj site reactions (erythema, pain, swelling, bleeding, pruritus), GI upset. Headache, myalgia, arthralgia.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Contraindications: Acute severe febrile illness. Pregnancy. Precautions: Thrombocytopenia, Coagulation disorders. Impaired immune responsiveness. Lactation.
