Indications
Fungal and Gram positive bacterial infections of the skin and nails.
Dosage
Adults & Children: Skin: Apply once or twice daily until 10 days after lesions have healed. Nails: Apply thinly once daily covering with non-perforated bandage until new nail growth is established.
Adverse Effects
Local irritation and sensitivity reactions.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Contraindications: Hair or nail infections, broken skin. Precautions: Avoid eyes and mucous membranes. Avoid inhalation of powder, particularly when treating infants and children.
Interactions
Oral anticoagulants.
Advice to Patient
Wash and dry area before application. Apply medication thinly. Avoid contact with eyes.
Pharmacokinetics
Absorption: Little absorption through skin or mucous membranes when applied topically. Metabolism: Hepatic. Half-life elimination: Triphasic; 24 hrs. Excretion: Urine. Faeces.
