Indications

Methyltestosterone is commonly used for replacing the hormone testosterone when the body does not make enough and stimulating puberty. Treating advanced breast cancer in women who are 1-5 year post menopause or premenopausal women with a hormone-sensitive tumour.

Dosage

Tab: Adults: Usually daily dose is 25 mg - 50 mg divided into smaller doses, to provide stable blood concentration. See literature.

Adverse Effects

Abnormal hair growth, abnormal skin sensations, acne, anxiety, baldness, breast growth, general body discomfort, headache, mood changes.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Pregnancy: Contraindicated in pregnancy. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Contraindications: Breast cancer, prostate cancer.
