Indications

For the active immunization of children and susceptible adults against measles. Can be administered to children from 9 months of age onwards.

Dosage

Should be reconstituted by transferring the diluent supplied to the vaccine vial. The vaccine pellet should be completely dissolved in the diluent. The entire contents of a reconstituted monodose vial or 0.5 mL of reconstituted vaccine from a multidose vial should be injected subcutaneously preferably in the upper arm. Do not inject intravenously.

Adverse Effects

Modified attenuated non-communicable measles infection in susceptible subjects. Reactions at the site of injection.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to neomycin. Hypersensitivity to egg products. Pregnant women.
