Indications
For the symptomatic relief of hyperacidity and flatulence associated with the diagnosis of peptic ulcer, gastric hyperacidity, hiatal hernia.
Dosage
Susp: Adults: 1-2 tsp after meals and at bedtime. Children: Under 6 yr, not recommended; over 6 yr, half adult dose. Tab: Adults: 1-2 tab after meals and at bedtime.
Adverse Effects
Constipation, Diarrhoea.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Pregnancy: Risk cannot be ruled out. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Precautions: Renal insufficiency.
Interactions
Tetracyclines, Fe salts, warfarin.

MAGALDRATE: Onset of action: 20 mins. Duration: 20-180 mins. Absorption: Negligible. Excretion: Urine. Faeces. SIMETHICONE: Absorption: Not absorbed into the blood stream. Metabolism: Not metabolized. Bioavailability: None. Excretion: Excreted unchanged in faeces.
