Indications

Inflammatory lesions of papulopustular rosacea. Treatment of head lice (Pediculus capitis).

Dosage

Inflammatory lesions of papulopustular rosacea: Adults: Apply daily for up to 4 months, the treatment course may be repeated. Discontinue if no improvement after 3 months. Children: Not recommended. Treatment of head lice (Pediculus capitis): Adults and Children =6 months: Lotion: Apply sufficient amount (up to 1 tube) to completely cover dry scalp and hair. For single-dose use only. Children: Not recommended.

Adverse Effects

Skin burning sensation. Skin irritation.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Contraindications: Pregnancy, lactation. Precautions: Avoid eyes and mucous membranes. Renal or hepatic impairment.

Interactions

Potent CYP3A4 inhibitors.

Advice to Patient

Apply thinly to the face only, avoiding contact with the eyes, lips and mucosa. Use a pea-size amount for each area of the face (forehead, chin, nose, each cheek) that is affected. Wash hands immediately after use.

Metabolism: Hepatic. Half-life elimination: Terminal: 6.5 days. Time to peak, plasma: 10 ± 8 hrs.
