Indications

Prevention & treatment of iron deficiency anaemia.

Dosage

Adults: 1 to 2 sachets daily. Children: Above 12 yr, same as adult.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Pregnancy: No evidence of risk in humans. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined.

Pharmacokinetics

IRON SULPHATE: Onset of action: 4 days. Absorption: Up to 60%. Excretion: Urine (trace). Faeces (trace). Sweat, sloughing intestinal mucosal cells, menses. CALCIUM HYPOCHLORIDE: Excretion: Urine and faeces.
