Metabolism: Metabolized in skin. The small amount absorbed into systemic circulation is metabolized hepatically to inactive compounds. Bioavailability: Cream: 4%-19%. Excretion: Urine. FUSIDIC ACID: Absorption: Extent of absorption into skin depends upon factors such as duration of exposure to fusidic acid and the condition of the skin.
