Indications

Active immunisation against hepatitis B virus.

Dosage

Adults & Children: 1 dose by IM inj, into the deltoid muscle, repeated 1 mth and 6 mth later.

Adverse Effects

Mild transient local soreness, erythema and induration at inj site, low grade fever, malaise, nausea, dizziness.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Contraindications: Severe febrile infections. Precautions: Dialysed or immunocompromised patients may need further doses. Pregnancy.
