Indications
Active immunisation against hepatitis A.
Dosage
Children: Under 1 yr, not recommended; 1-15 yr, primary immunisation: 0.5 mL (720 ELISA units), by IM Inj into deltoid muscle. Booster: 0.5 mL (720 ELISA units) 6-12 mth later.
Adverse Effects
Mild transient soreness, erythema and induration at injection site. Fever, malaise, fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Contraindications: Severe febrile infections. Precautions: Pregnancy, lactation. Infection, haemodialysis, altered immunity.
