Indications
Bacterial infections.
Dosage
Adults & Children: Under 1 yr, not recommended; over 1 yr, Day 1 and 2, 1 drop in affected eye(s) every 2 hr up to eight times daily while awake. Then 1 drop four times daily while awake on Days 3 to 7.
Adverse Effects
Local irritation.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Pregnancy: Contraindicated in pregnancy. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Contraindications: Soft contact lenses.
Advice to Patient
Before use, remove contact lenses. Avoid prolonged use.
Pharmacokinetics
Half-life elimination: 7-14 hrs. Excretion: Urine (mainly). Faeces (5%).
