Indications
Infected ocular inflammation.
Dosage
Adults & Children: 1-2 drops 2-3 times daily.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Contraindications: Viral, fungal, tuberculous or purulent infections. Glaucoma. Soft contact lenses. Precautions: Prolonged use in pregnancy or infants.
Advice to Patient
Remove contact lenses and wash hands properly before use. Sit or lie down to instill. Open eye, tilt head back, look at ceiling, instill solution into the eye. Do not blink for 30 seconds. For ointment, pull lower lid down slowly, instill thin layer of ointment inside lid. After applying drops or ointment, close eye and roll eyeball in all directions. Apply gentle pressure to inner corner of eye. Wipe excess amount from skin around eye. Blurred vision or stinging may occur but its temporary. In case of allergic reaction or rash, discontinue medication and inform prescriber immediately. Report constant burning, pain; changes in vision; itching, swelling in eyes; no improvement or worsening of condition. Avoid touching tip of applicator with eye. Avoid prolonged use. Wear dark glasses to prevent bright light sensitivity.

FLUOROMETHOLONE: Absorption: Well-absorbed into the aqueous humor. Slight systemic absorption typically occurs. Metabolism: Locally. The small amount absorbed into systemic circulation is metabolized via hepatic route. Excretion: Urine. Faeces. POLYMYXIN B: Absorption: Not absorbed significantly into the aqueous humor of the eye even when inflammation is present. Excretion: Urine (60%). NEOMYCIN: Metabolism: Not metabolized. Excretion: Urine.
