Indications
Primary immunisation against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, Hepatitis B and Hib in infants from the age of 6 weeks and in infants who received 1st dose of Hepatitis B vaccine at birth.
Dosage
Adults: Not recommended. Children: Primary vaccination schedule (e.g. at 2, 3, 4 mth or 2, 4, 6 mth or 3, 5, 11 or 12 mth; or 6, 10, 14 wk) three 0.5 mL by deep IM inj interval of at least 1 mth between doses.
Adverse Effects
Low grade fever, local skin reaction, fever, drowsiness, irritability, nervousness, rarely anaphylactoid reaction.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Contraindications: Acute severe febrile illness, encephalopathy of unknown aetiology, occuring within 7 day of previous vaccination with pertussis containing vaccine. Precautions: Contains traces of neomycin and polymyxin. Immunodeficient patients. Do not administer IV.
