Indications
Corticoid preparation with anti-microbial additive. Initial and interim treatment of bacterially and/or mitotically infected skin diseases as long as inflammatory concomitant symptoms predominate.
Dosage
Adults & Children: Apply two to three times daily.
Advice to Patient
If a dose is missed, apply it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not apply double dose. Contact prescriber if there is no improvement after 7 days. Avoid contact of medication with eyes. In case of contact, wipe off the medication and rinse thoroughly with water. Do not use airtight dressings unless recommended by the prescriber.
Pharmacokinetics
DIFLUCORTOLONE Absorption: Rapidly absorbed into the skin. It may be absorbed systemically. The percutaneous absorption depends on the vehicle, dose, treatment area, duration of treatment, the condition of treatment, the status of penetration barrier and localization of treated area in the body. Metabolism: Hepatic. Half-life elimination: 4-5 hrs. Excretion: Urine (75%). Faeces (25%). CHLORQUINALDOL: Absorption: There is a high degree of variability in the extent of absorption of topically applied preparations. It is reported to be between 4.2% and 23.5% of the applied dose. Metabolism: 98% of drug is converted to the sulphate form. Half-life elimination: 7 hrs. Excretion: Urine.
