Indications

Fungal and bacterial infections of the skin and nails.

Dosage

Adults & Children: Apply sparingly two or three times daily until two wk after apparent cure.

Adverse Effects

Local mild burning, irritation. Hypersensitivity reactions.

Advice to Patient

Apply thin film to completely cover the affected and surrounding skin areas. Apply cream regularly. Discontinue medication immediately and contact prescriber if irritation, sensitization or superinfection develops. Do not apply to open wounds or damaged skin.

Pharmacokinetics

CLOTRIMAZOLE: Absorption: Negligible systemic absorption. Metabolism: Hepatic. Excretion: Urine. Faeces. GENTAMICIN SULPHATE: Absorption: Readily absorbed from large burnt, denuded, or granulating areas but not through intact skin. Absorption is faster and greater with the cream compared to the ointment. Metabolism: Not metabolized. Half-life elimination: 2-3 hrs. Excretion: Urine.
