Indications

Bronchial asthma.

Dosage

Children: >6 yr: 100-800 mcg/day, divided into 2-4 inhalations. With daily doses up to 400 mcg the full dose may be given in one administration. Adults: 200-800 mcg/day, divided into 2-4 inhalations. In more severe cases daily doses of up to 1600 mcg may be needed. With daily doses up to 400 mcg the full dose may be given in one administration.

Adverse Effects

Hoarseness, candidiasis of mouth and throat.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Precautions: Active or quiescent pulmonary tuberculosis. Pregnancy. Transferring from systemic steroids.
