Indications

Vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss due to Meniere's syndrome.

Dosage

Adults: Initially 16 mg 3 times daily; maintenance, 24-48 mg daily. Children: Not recommended.

Adverse Effects

Gastric upset, headache, rash, pruritus.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Pregnancy: Risk cannot be ruled out. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Contraindications: Pheochromocytoma. Precautions: Bronchial asthma. Peptic ulcer.

Take with meals.

Absorption: Oral: Rapid and complete. Metabolism: Hepatic. Half-life elimination: 3-4 hrs. Time to peak, plasma: 1 hr. Excretion: Urine.
