Beclomethasone and Salbutamol
Bronchodilator & Anti-asthma Preps: Inhalants · Beta-2 agonist/Corticosteroid
Indications
Long term management of asthma only when the need for inhaled corticosteroid and bronchodilator therapy has been established.
Dosage
Adults: 2 puffs three or four times daily. Children: 1 or 2 puffs two to four times daily.
Adverse Effects
Fine tremor, nervousness, tension, headache, peripheral vasodilatation. Hoarseness, candidiasis of the mouth and throat.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Precautions: Hyperthyroidism, myocardial insufficiency, angina, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension, pregnancy. Active or quiescent pulmonary tuberculosis. Transferring from systemic steroids.
Interactions
Sympathomimetics.
