Alverine Citrate and Simethicone
Antispasmodic & Anticholinergic · Antiflatulent/Antispasmodic
Indications
Gastrointestinal cramps, swelling in the abdomen, painful periods, painful pressure and hiccups. Abdominal pain in irritable bowel syndrome.
Dosage
Adults: Take 1-2 caps three times in a day at bed time and after meal. Abdominal pain in irritable bowel syndrome: Adults: 1 cap two to three times daily at the beginning of meals. Children: Not recommended.
Adverse Effects
Difficulties in breathing, shortness of breath, wheezing, swelling of the face, inflammation of the liver and headache.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Pregnancy: Contraindicated in pregnancy. Lactation: Contraindicated or not recommended. Contraindications: Allergic reactions, children under the age of 12 years, hypersensitivity, obstruction of gut, use of mineral oil based laxatives. Precautions: Do not drive or operate machinery after taking this medicine.

Levothyroxine, liothyronine.

ALVERINE: Absorption: Readily absorbed from the GI tract. Metabolism: Rapidly metabolized to primary active metabolite, which is then further converted to two secondary metabolites. Half-life elimination: 0.8 hr. Time to peak, plasma: 1-1.5 hrs. Excretion: Urine. SIMETHICONE: Absorption: Not absorbed into the blood stream. Metabolism: Not metabolized. Bioavailability: None. Excretion: Excreted unchanged in faeces.
