Antiemetic & Gastroprokinetic
Indications
Postprandial fullness, upper abdominal bloating and early satiation in patients with functional dyspepsia.
Dosage
Adults: 3 times daily before meals. Children: Not recommended.
Adverse Effects
Diarrhoea, constipation, increased liver enzymes, increased blood prolactin and tricglycerides.
Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)
Pregnancy: Risk cannot be ruled out. Lactation: Caution advised or effect undetermined. Precautions: Discontinue after one month if symptoms persist; upper GI endoscopy and other exams should be conducted.
Interactions
Atropine, scopolamine, butylbromide, acetylcholine, neostigmine.
Advice to Patient
Take on an empty stomach 30 mins before meals.

Metabolism: Hepatic. Half-life elimination: 13.31 ± 6.91 hrs. Time to peak, plasma: 2.42 ± 0.97 hrs.
