Anti-rheumatic, Topical · Phenylacetic acid

Indications

Rheumatic and muscular pain, post-traumatic pain, post-operative inflammation and swelling, acute musculo-skeletal disorders including bursitis, myositis, tendonitis, ligamental injuries. Sports injuries, sprain, strains, low back ache.

Dosage

Adults: Rub gently into affected area 3-4 times daily.

Risk Factor (Pregnancy/Lactation)

Contraindications: Asthma, aspirin/anti-inflammatory induced allergy. Pregnancy and lactation. Precautions: Avoid broken skin, eyes and mucous membrane. Do not use occlusive dressings.

Pharmacokinetics

Metabolism: Hepatic. Half-life elimination: Approx. 4 hrs. Excretion: Urine (70%). Faeces (20%).
